WSJT-X v1.5 RC 1 released

Great news for fans of the JT65 and JT9 modes; the developers of the popular WSJT-X software have released the latest version of their software, v1.5 RC 1.

WSJT-X v1.5 RC 1 continues the development of WSJT-X with several new features for users of the software. Among the new features are:

• User-selectable color coding for different categories, such as CQ, own call, new DX, and new station
• UDP broadcasting of decode results, allowing operation of multiple copies of WSJT-X, or allowing operation over a network

If you install WSJT-X, make sure to also install the optional KVASD module which provides enhanced decoding for weaker signals. The install file is included in the DMG download, but can’t be packaged in the WSJT-X application due to licensing constraints. John (G4KLA) has written an excellent ReadMe file with complete instructions on how to install and setup WSJT-X on OS X. The ReadMe file is also included in the WSJT-X dmg file.

As with previous version, WSTJ-X v1.5 RC 1 is a free download and is available from the WSJT-X website here.
