Aether and OS X v10.11 El Capitan

Andrew Madsen (AC7CF), the developer of the Aether logbook program, recently updated the AetherBlog with details about Aether and OS X v10.11 El Capitan.

In comments posted on the 24th, Andrew reports that Aether v1.5.14 is “fully compatible with OS X 10.11” and that he does “not know of any problems related to the new OS update and Aether.” Andrew also reported that nearly 40% of Aether users are already running El Capitan and that he expects it to become the most popular version of OS X shortly amongst Aether users shortly.

Finally, Andrews dedicated a significant portion of his blog posting to discuss the requirement for signed USB drivers, providing links to updated drivers as well as making recommendations for some hardware.

As always, Aether is available from Open Reel Software, or via the Mac App Store, and supports OS X 10.5 or newer using G4, G5 or Intel processors. Priced at $39, a free trial of Aether is available from the Open Reel Software website.
