Aether v1.6 now available

Andrew Madsen (AC7CF) has announced the availability of v1.6 of his Aether logbook program. Andrew has made numerous enhancements, bug fixes and added some new features to make v1.6 a worthwhile update.

Among the new features, Aether now includes:

  • Added support for the Icom IC-9100 and Kenwood TS-990
  • Support for new label sheets and the ability to skip labels on a sheet
  • A new welcome screen to help setup initial station information
  • Certificate management window now shows detailed information about LoTW certificates

Other enhancements include a change in interface font to San Francisco, improvements/enhancements to QRZ.com lookup, ARRL TrustedQSL library, and more. Furthermore, Aether is now a sandboxed app.

In order to take advantage of v1.6, Aether users must be running OS X v10.7.5 or newer. All future development will take place on v1.6, however users of older versions of OS X can still use v1.5.14 and it will remain available indefinitely.

As always, Aether is available from Open Reel Software, or via the Mac App Store. Priced at $39, a free trial of Aether is available from the Open Reel Software website.
